The Autumn Assembly of the Tampere University Researchers and Teachers convened in November 22nd and elected the President and the new Board for the year 2019. Adjunct professor Jarkko Toikkanen will continue in his role as the President of Tatte ry.
The faculty council elections for the new University of Tampere have commenced. It is now possible to register as a candidate in the faculty council elections until Mon 19 Nov, 3 pm.
The Academic Board appointed the first administrative University Board for the new University of Tampere on Tuesday, October 23rd. The composition of the new Board has already generated considerable discussion, which the top brass of the University should address.
The Finnish Union of University Researchers and Teachers issued its Scholar of the Year award for the 20th time this year. The Scholar of the Year is Ph.D. Jussi Jalonen, Tatte's PR-Officer.
Tatte's annual autumn assembly will be held at 22 November 2018. The assembly will also decide on possible changes in association bylaws.
The collective bargaining in winter 2018 for the collective agreement of the university sector ended with the acceptance of the proposal made by the national conciliator on March 6. The issue causing most friction during the negotiations was the renewal of the salary system. The contracting organizations agreed to continue the preparations for the renewal of the salary system in a working group until the end of September.
Have you always wanted to try cricket, but never had the nerve to do so? The Tampere University Association of Researchers and Teachers (Tatte), in cooperation with staff associations at the University of Tampere and the Tampere University of Technology, will organize a cricket night in Sorsapuisto Park on Monday, 24 September at 4-6 pm.
As a result of the Tampere3 process, the employee cooperation negotiations have commenced at the University of Tampere. The purpose of these negotiations is to agree on various practices of employment, as well as on how to harmonize and streamline these practices as required by the university fusion. During the negotiations, all employees may contact their chief shop steward in any matters which raise questions.
